It was the end of the Cold War, and Slick Willie Clinton let the opportunity of a lifetime slip through his greasy fingers: Clinton could've hammered those Cold Warrior swords into plowshares and begun a whole new era of peace and prosperity, but like a typical Democrat, his first priority was making sure no inbred ignoramuses could ever call him wimpy or unpatriotic.

Las Vegas is not ordinarily known for its activism. Gambling, yes. Glitz and glamor, yes. Strippers, yes. But what about Peace Activists?

At the First Annual Las Vegas Peace Festival hundreds of Las Vegans gathered to celebrate peace, and set a new standard for Sin City. The Box Office, located in the art district of Las Vegas, hosted the event on Saturday, October 13th. With a combination of live music, interactive mural painting, tree dedicating, body paints, art displays, compassionate speeches, and a lot of dancing, the festival proved to be a success.
